Jeg har fra barnsben været heldig med vi altid rejste meget. Der er heller ikke nogen tvivl om at mit år på Sylmar High School – i San Fernando Valley, Southern California – har haft en stor effekt på mange aspekter af mit liv, én værende et ønske om at rejse og udforske andre lande og kulturer.
